About Pratham UK - A leading Indian Education Charity
Pratham UK was founded in 2003 by volunteers who wanted to help make a difference through educating children. As an overseas chapter of Pratham India, Pratham UK focuses on fundraising to support Pratham's work in India, whilst also maintaining the public awareness of the charity's work. Pratham UK works to engage the UK community by holding fundraising and awareness building events throughout the year.
Volunteers raise money through multiple sporting and social events such as the London Marathon, the British 10km Run in London and the Human Race Super Sprint Triathlon in Eton. Pratham UK also hosts art auctions and conferences and maintains a strong young professionals organisation. The Pratham UK fundraising initiatives culminate in the Pratham Annual Gala, which is a spectacular black tie ball, attended by 700 Pratham patrons and their guests. The evening is a night of celebration and an opportunity to recognise and honour the work Pratham is doing in India. It is also a vital opportunity to secure much-needed funds in order to enable Pratham’s work to continue. Please come and join us at our upcoming events!
