Pratham Projects - Read India Campaign
There are many types of Pratham activities:
Pratham's current flagship programme for enabling all Indian children to read.
Core programmes which include; Pratham Council for Vulnerable Children, ASER Centre, Skilling Initiatives, Pratham Early Childhood Care and Education Centre and Pratham Books
Pre-school, learning support classes for out-of-school children and libraries: these programmes reach out to urban children from disadvantaged homes and also act as laboratories for developing new ideas.
This programme aims to prevent, rehabilitate, repatriate,rescue and educate vulnerable and working children.
The English Program targets children in the age group of 8-14 years and helps build their basic conversational skills and their ability to read simple texts with comprehension.
This program impact's children's basic learning levels using IT and provides relevant IT knowledge and skills for children aged 6-18 years.
Pratham has been commited to early childhood care and education through the Balwadi (pre-school) program
